TASTING NOTES
👀 HOW’S IT LOOK?
Hazy but glowing body of red with some pink around the edges. A light dusting of foam remains on the top, it too has a pink hue.
👃 WHAT AM I SMELLING?
Berries and lactic acid. There is a general fruitiness throughout but the berries rise to the top.
👅 HMMM, THAT TASTES LIKE…
Wow, that first sip is TART! The salivary glands start producing as soon as you take the first sip. The second sip shows all of the fruit. There is a bright berry note with hints of peach and stone fruit around the edges. There is even a sneaky nutty note coming through at the end that is reminiscent of peach pits and cherry pits. The acidity and fruit are very bright and refreshing. The alcohol does not make itself known in the flavor.
😋 THERE’S A PARTY IN MY MOUTH!
The carbonation is bright and lively and the body is light. When that is paired with all of the fruity character this is a very refreshing beer. There is a lingering tartness in the aftertaste.
🍻 TL;DR
Tart, fruity, refreshing
-Matt Akin, Head Brewer
LABEL TEXT
A new princely cousin to Purple Reign Imperial Tart has joined the revolution.
This creation isn’t dethroning our reigning champ for the past four years, rather taking center stage until the inevitable return of the Purple One. After all, nothing compares to you Purple Reign.
Paisley Peach hits your taste buds like a funky bassline, while the sweetness of the peaches sings a melody that lingers on your tongue. A twist of boysenberry adds a second note to the track with more depth, and a rosy hue when held to the light of some shining diamonds and pearls.
